2. Scope

This policy explains how we process personal data when you visit flightimport.com, create an account, place an order, contact us, or use our services and plugins (e.g., WooCommerce).

3. Categories of data

  • Account & order data (name, email, billing details, license data).
  • Payment data (token/transaction info from payment providers such as PayPal; we do not store full card data).
  • Technical data (IP address, device/browser info, referrer, date/time, pages viewed, error logs).
  • Support communications (emails and messages you send to us).
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).

4. Purposes and legal bases (Art. 6 GDPR)

  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): account creation, order processing, license management, customer support.
  • Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)): tax/commercial retention duties.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): site security, fraud prevention, error logs, service improvement, defending claims.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): optional features such as marketing emails or non-essential cookies (if enabled).

5. Recipients and processors

We use service providers under data-processing agreements (“processors”), including web hosting and email. If you choose PayPal at checkout, your data is transferred to PayPal for payment processing. These providers may act as independent controllers for their part of processing.

6. International transfers

Where providers are located outside the EU/EEA, appropriate safeguards apply (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Further details are available on request.

7. Retention

We process personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil contractual purposes and statutory obligations. Accounting/tax records are retained according to legal requirements. Support emails and logs are deleted when no longer needed.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for site operation and the checkout (e.g., WooCommerce cart/session cookies). These are set without consent. Non-essential cookies (analytics/marketing) are only used with consent, if enabled.

9. Your rights (Arts. 15–21 GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our competent authority is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Germany.
