How is the duty logged?
flightimport.com recognizes your role automatically. When you are the Captain PIC hours will be logged. When you are the First Officer SIC is logged.
Pilot Flying Duty (Pro-Feature)
All flights from July 2019 have a new feature in them. Pilot Flying duty is automatically added and detected from the Verified Flights Mail. PIC, PICus, SIC and Take-Off and Landings are imported accordingly.
Duty Times and Flight Duty Period
Duty Times and FDP (Flight Duty Period) is correctly logged according to OM A 7.2

Hello everyone, flightimport.com has been running for almost three years now. So far it has been free to use with all but the bulk-import feature. The donations have not covered the running costs and maintenance as well as necessary updates to the system. The choice stands between shutting down the system or introducing a subscription…
License fee for bulk imports
In 7 months of running, flightimport.com has imported 17306 flights. During that time I have received voluntary donations in total of 42€ from 5 (!) people. The mail server and server hosting accumulate to 75€. Every month. That being said means I have paid 708€ for 7 months of flightimport.com. The bulk import feature is…
Legal
The Importer is free to use and I take no liability in case it does not work as expected. No flight data is logged on any server, it is converted, parsed and deleted. I believe in absolute privacy of information. For user convenience the reply email address is stored in a database so it only has to be entered again if you want to change it. By using this service you agree to that. In case of feature requests or any doubts concerning privacy send me an e-mail.
